Listening and speaking skills are the essential skills in language learning. Facilitating the development of these skills is especially important when we are teaching/learning a foreign language which is not (often) spoken/heard outside the classroom. I want to provide more listening exercises besides the textbook. I also want to let student “speak” more at home, in classroom, by themselves and within a group.
“I can understand what you say in Chinese!”
“They understand MY Chinese!”
These are the moments that students are getting confident in their language skills and their language learning abilities. I want to bring these moments to each of my students through sufficient practices in a safe and interactive learning environment.
