A recent Dr. Sketchy session had me experimenting with ‘white on black’ as a drawing medium, much different than the ‘black on white’ approach of traditional media. In effect your are drawing the light as opposed the shadows, although you still have to address the contours in both situations regardless.
This gallery shows a few drawings on black paper and some on grey. I may never use white paper again. Although I’m getting used to a smaller size paper to accommodate the scale of Dr. Sketchy spaces, I still feel that drawing while standing, on a large sheet of paper is going to be my preferred format. Thinking of going back to some Basic Inqiry sessions for this purpose.
