In his classic novel Cat’s Cradle, Kurt Vonnegut explains how the world is divided into two types of social organizations: the karass and the granfalloon. A karass is a spontaneously forming group, joined by unpredictable links, that actually gets stuff done? as Vonnegut describes it, “a team that do[es] God’s Will without ever discovering what they are doing.” A granfalloon, on the other hand, is a “false karass,” a bureaucratic structure that looks like a team but is “meaningless in terms of the ways God gets things done.”

experience designer ~gabriel

” For a number of years I’ve wanted to become an experience designer rather than just a musician and this new technologhy is one of the things that is going to allow us to take a first step in that directiopn. Interactivity is exciting because it helps us not just to be artists but to provide a lot of material for the audience to participate in-so that eventually they become the artists themselves and can use what we create, in a sense as collage material, as stuff to explore and learn about from the inside.”
